PITTSBURGH — Expedient today announced that Kevin Meyer has been named Chief Technology Officer, effective September 1, 2026. As CTO, Meyer will guide the strategic direction of Expedient’s technology platform, overseeing the architecture, engineering, and continued evolution of its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud service provider portfolio. Meyer takes on the CTO role as three forces converge on IT organizations at once: the impact from VMware’s licensing overhaul, a rebalancing of workloads between cloud and on-prem, and the infrastructure demands of AI adoption. The decisions organizations make in the coming year will shape what’s possible for the next decade, and Meyer will set Expedient’s direction on a platform he spent 14 years building. Meyer joined Expedient in 2012. In the years since, he has held a progression of technical leadership roles (most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Principal Architect) and has been leading the design and scaling of the core infrastructure platforms that power Expedient’s cloud solutions today. He brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, product engineering, and enterprise infrastructure architecture to the role. “The infrastructure conversation has changed more in the last two years than it did in the ten before that, between the VMware shakeup, cloud rebalancing, and AI rewriting the requirements,” said Meyer. “My job is to make sure Expedient’s platform is ready for whatever that shift asks of it next.” ## What This Means for Expedient’s Clients IT organizations, regardless of size, are managing infrastructure decisions that carry lasting consequences: aging technical debt that’s expensive to keep patching, cost pressure that makes new investment hard to justify, and the convergence of cloud, data, and AI workloads demanding compute density, power, and data proximity most environments weren’t built to handle.
